In order to complete the course successfully, students will need a copy of Dreamweaver CC.20 Adobe Dreamweaver Tutors. Additionally, gaining fundamental knowledge of website design basics will help students to work in numerous environments as well as incorporating animation and video. Within the course, students will be able to insert pictures, objects, images, and use templates to create these projects. Students taking this course will gain knowledge as to how to create interactive and engaging websites and simple applications that can be used on mobile devices.
Students will create a page layout for a web page. Student will define a Dreamweaver site and create basic web page. Students and teachers can purchase a personal Creative Cloud monthly.Students will need a copy of the Dreamweaver CC software in order to do coursework.
Students will publish their websites to a web server. Students will create a website that uses data from a database. Students will add Flash animation to a web page and design forms. Students will add navigation and interactivity to their web pages in Dreamweaver. Students will add text and images to their web pages in Dreamweaver. Students will create a template for their Dreamweaver website.
These two tools are the building blocks of all web sites. Specifically, HTML and CSS. Lesson 2: HTML & CSS BasicsThe second lesson of the course explores how coding can be used to enhance projects created within Dreamweaver CC. Students, conclusively, will take a tour of the Dreamweaver workspace and learn about the tools that are available. The more aware you are of where you are in a document and what the screen is displaying, the better you'll be able to handle any issues that come up. If one is already familiar with other Adobe applications, then some of this will be familiar, but spend time getting comfortable with the information that is available on the screen.
Lesson 3: Fundamentals of Website DesignLearning the fundamentals down of website design is important to know so that you are able to harness the power that Adobe Dreamweaver CC offers. The author will go in-depth in the fundamentals of these programming languages and one is free to decide to determine which view is more comfortable for them as they learn other aspects of Dreamweaver CC when developing online content. Lesson 6: Navigation & InteractivityHave you ever been on a road trip and didn't know where you were going? What would you need in order to get to the intended destination? A road map of course. Students will look at different ways to structure the text on a web page, including lists, tables, and images. Website pages need to have engaging and interactive content so that they can not only provide the information they're looking for but to keep them coming back time and time again. Lesson 5: Working With Images, Lists, Tables, & TablesThe fifth lesson of the course gives students an opportunity to continue to enhance website pages by adding additional layers of text and images to website pages.
Students will go in-depth in learning how to use two basic tools that adapt to this new design concept, media type, and media query. Lesson 7: Designing For Mobile-Friendly DevicesIn the seventh lesson of the course, students will learn how to use "mobile-first" design which considers designing for mobile devices before designing for traditional desktop computers. Students will learn how to incorporate both of these elements to maximize moveability within the projects they create. Intralinks, navigation within a website page or app, is a secondary element that is often underutilized in website design.
In this lesson, students will walk through the process of publishing one's site to a web server and best practices specific to how to keep a website or app up-to-date. Lesson 9: Publishing To The WebNow that the website or app that has been developed is ready to be shared with others, the next step is to publish it. It is strongly recommended to look into other courses available in the suite for additional information on elements that can be incorporated into Dreamweaver CC projects. In this lesson of the course, students will gain fundamental knowledge as to how to properly leverage animations and videos into website pages and apps. It includes complex elements such as video and animation to help add additional life to content on the site. Lesson 8: Working With Animation & VideoMaximizing the functionality of a website is more than just creating content so that an intended purpose is fulfilled.
Lesson 10: Putting It All TogetherIn the final lesson of the course, students are encouraged to look back through all you have learned and apply this to a site of your own. Hence, knowing the fundamentals of publishing to the internet through Dreamweaver CC will help accomplish this task quickly and easily. Note that as the audience changes, so should a website or app.
